POST UPDATED – 17th June 2016
This lesson is designed for a GCSE class and explores the question for whether the Munich Beer Hall Putsch of 1923 can be classed as either a success or a failure. I sometimes use Hitler: Rise from Evil drama which has a good 20 minute section on the Munich Putsch.
The resources come in two items. The PowerPoint contains the lesson objectives, an overview of the lesson content, the main activity statements and a tapas plenary, in which students can choose their own way of showing progress in the lesson. The worksheet contains the main lesson activity, which is a card sort activity on which students sort out the statements/evidence on which they will base their judgements on then write a paragraph outlining their judgement based on evidence. There is also an extension activity should this be required.
As ever, I hope you find these resources useful.
